Repurpose Ideas

When you're home, everywhere you look, you find things that bug you but you cannot throw out of the window! Broken furniture, old things, empty boxes and/or jars,.. jars! I got a lot of them!

Junk Jars

After emptying these jars, well, there are more of them in the kitchen, I tried to sell them. Even junk shops didn't accept them! So, what the heck am I going to do with these? I blamed the manufacturers because they should have created these jars on a more nice looking that can be used for drinking glasses. But they didn't.  Sigh!

Until recently, I discovered the word "repurpose." It is to convert or change or to reuse things on a different purpose. There are actually, a lot that can be done with our junks. A little creativity, some tools, and our junks, then we get beautiful accents for our house. We can even sell them! What a great idea to earn from junks with very low investment while helping save the environment. Well, you don't have to throw everything to garbage cans.

The Importance of Repurpose

  1. Freedom from garbage, stress, and eyesore. You get rid of the junks in the house without the feeling of guilt for throwing things
  2. Reduction of the amount of waste that we throw in the landfills
  3. Prevention of the increase on the number of landfills in the community
  4. Reusing of cardboard and paper will help lessen the need to cut trees
  5. Reusing glass bottles and aluminum cans will help save energy. This means emitting less carbon dioxide to the atmosphere that causes global warming
  6. Decrease pollution
  7. Saving the animal habitat
  8. Saving humanity
  9. Saving the earth for future generation
  10. And of course, you can generate income from those rubbish!

Repurpose Ideas

We do not need an extraordinary creativity or talent to be able to repurpose. Merely reusing a thing rather than throwing it out is already repurposing. However, why not try putting some designs to make it more attractive, reusable, and purposeful? If you are creative enough, that would be great! If not, try searching for some DIY (do-it-yourself) tutorials or repurpose ideas on the web. I found some that can help you. I hope you also enjoy their ideas:

Please comment if you get repurpose ideas.
