Fifty Shades of Books

And there's a client who totally gets what makes you happy and gives in to it. Part of the success of leadership and of a company can be credited to the value the members give to each other. That is how they can work efficiently as a team and able to inspire each other towards achieving a common goal.

When I started in The Idea, Inc., one of the first things my client asked me was to purchase the "The Speed of Trust" and the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People." They are certainly good reads. Every morning, Eastern Time, we would meet. We would start of by reading a part of either of the books and brainstorm. I believe that that check in was beneficial for the foundation of trust between us.

When trust is high, the dividend you receive is like a performance multiplier, elevating and improving every dimension of your organization and your life. High trust is like the leaven in bread, which lifts everything around it. In a company, high trust materially improves communication, collaboration, execution, innovation, strategy, engagement, partnering, and relationships with all stakeholders. In your personal life, high trust significantly improves your excitement, energy, passion, creativity, and joy in your relationships with family, friends, and community. Obviously, the dividends are not just in increased speed and improved economics; they are also in greater enjoyment and better quality of life.

I received a few more fifty shades of gifts from her including the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy. Why the fifty shades books? Because she learned that I am also intrigued with its story. She ordered it from amazon.com. And on June 16, 2015, I received the package. I felt egotistically great! I received a package from America! "Maliit na bagay..." (*wink)

After 5 months, I finished reading the first book. Hahaha! I'm not kidding.

So, what do I say? At first, it made me feel awkward. With all those intimate things discussed in the book, you know what I mean, I wonder what people may think of me when they see me reading it. I'm not!! I'm just curious! (*strongly defensive)

Erika Mitchell a. k. a. EL James is such a very good writer. I don't know of extreme words that best describe her great talent in writing. The book is erotic in a classy or sophisticated way. It keeps you constantly intrigued even though you know that in most parts $3x happens.

What drew me to keep on reading is Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele's love story. For me, it's the Cinderella story of the modern days. For me (*bitter gourd), their love story is a fairy tale in the neverland that never will come true. A bachelor has-it-all gets obsessed with an ordinary and a complete virgin young lady? Nuh! Well, that's my opinion at the moment. (*wink). It might change in the future.

Matter of fact, I'm all green. That a woman be strongly desired by a 100% graded bachelor who flies a plane (whoa!) really makes me question justice. (I'm being overacting.)

So, what connects my work-at-home and these books? I get to enjoy both... and I have awesome clients. Just sharing. (*smiley)
